£5M awarded to found the Numerical Algorithms and Intelligent Software Centre (NAIS)
A new research centre will develop the mathematical foundations of innovative tools for scientific and engineering computation on multiprocessing high-performance computers. The Numerical Algorithms and Intelligent Software centre (NAIS) is a collaboration between Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde universities. It is supported by a £5m grant from EPSRC.
