I joined EPCC in October 1996 as the Visit Co-ordinator for the EC-funded TRACS Programme, which was superseded in 2004 by the HPC-Europa Programme.
HPC-Europa is an interdisciplinary research visit programme which allows EU-based researchers to come to Edinburgh for up to 3 months to use our world-class computing facilities while working in collaboration with a researcher working in a similar field. The programme also operates at five other European HPC centres (see http://www.hpc-europa.org for more information).
Within the HPC-Europa consortium, EPCC co-ordinates the visitor programme, and my role covers helping to organise the selection process, all day-to-day administration of the programme for visitors coming to the UK through the programme, liaising with the other partners in the consortium, and contributing to reports to the European Commission.
During my time at EPCC, I have also been the co-ordinator of the Summer Scholarship Programme (discontinued when we began offering the MSc course in 2001), and was involved with the TT@MED project, part of the EUTIST-M project, which involved medical IT trials.
I also have a Personal Home Page.
