Visiting & open days
MSc virtual open days
Live online sessions which enable you to talk to MSc teaching staff.
The virtual open days are a great way to find out what the MSc programmes in HPC have to offer without having to visit the campus. These online live sessions use a virtual space which enables you to talk or text chat to MSc staff and current students.
These sessions are hosted by the Programme Director, Dr David Henty or the MSc Personal Tutors. Presentations are followed by a Questions & Answers session. Topics of the presentations include an introduction of the MSc in HPC and MSc in HPC with Data Science programmes, course contents, career opportunities, scholarships, applying and other aspects of studying with us.
Upcoming virtual open days:
- Wednesday 02 May 2018
- Wednesday 16 May 2018
- Wednesday 30 May 2018
Please note that any times listed are British local time. If you are not based in the UK, please check the current UK time with the time converter.

Please fill in the virtual open day registration form to register your interest. Joining instructions will be sent to you once any additional sessions are scheduled.
The University of Edinburgh online events
University-wide online events are run throughout the year. Participating departments include Student Services, Admissions, Accommodation Services and Edinburgh Global. Details are on the University's Online Events website.
Postgraduate open day
The University’s Postgraduate Open Day takes place in November each year. It offers an opportunity for applicants to visit us on campus, to learn about the University and the MSc programmes and to meet our staff and current students. Further details including the School programme will be available on this website prior to each PG Open Day every year.
If you are unable to attend our open day but would like to visit us another time, please email us. We are happy to organise individual visits for prospective students so that they can have a tour around the building and talk to academic staff about the MSc programmes.
