Estimated living costs
Budgeting for your living costs before you arrive is important. The University’s finance website provides useful information to help you create a realistic budget. There is also a budget calculator which you can use to plan your budget.
The University’s Accommodation Services offer a wide range of housing and catering options for UK and international students.
Generally speaking, new single postgraduate students from outside the EU are guaranteed an offer of student accommodation as long as you meet certain conditions and apply before the application deadline. Students from within the EU can ask to be placed on a waiting list. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Further details are available on the Accommodation Services website.
Accommodation Services also offer guidance on finding private accommodation as well as advice on leases and your rights. See their website for details.
