Google Summer of Code 2012: get involved through OGSA-DAI
Google Summer of Code is a global program that offers students stipends to write code for Open Source projects for three months under the guidance of an Open Source organisation. This year the OGSA-DAI open source project plans to participate as a mentor.
OGSA-DAI is a product that allows data in distributed databases to be accessed, updated, transformed and combined. It has a powerful distributed query processor, allowing queries to run over many databases as if they were a single database. OGSA-DAI can be used with relational and XML databases and with file systems. Its fully-customisable framework can be tailored to the exact requirements of specific projects and business communities.
To find out more, see our list of OGSA-DAI-related Summer of Code projects and take a look at projects which have used OGSA-DAI.
If you’re interested in getting involved with any of these projects, or would like to suggest your own OGSA-DAI-related project, join the OGSA-DAI Users mailing list and send an email.
If you have other queries about OGSA-DAI’s participation in GSoC please contact Neil Chue Hong and Charaka Palansuriya via email.
