Dr Francis Wray
Francis Wray’s career in the scientific consultancy and computer business extends over 35 years. During this period he has worked in the application of advanced computer technology for competitive advantage both in industry and academia.
His interest in high-performance computing started in the early 80s using array processors for numerically-intensive data processing. In 1985 he set up a group applying emerging parallel processing technologies in the aerospace, commercial and defence industries. He has worked as a consultant to EPCC since 1993 supporting the evolution of the centre through the development and management of major projects. He is a visiting Professor of Concurrent Systems in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing at Kingston University, London.
