Dr Lorna Smith
I have been at EPCC since 1997 where I have been involved in research, training and user support. My research interests are mainly focussed on investigating new languages for High Performance Computing, such as Java and OpenMP. I manage the High Performance Computing Initiative project at EPCC and provides in-depth support to national and local users of EPCC’s HPC facilities. I teach on a range of courses at the centre and currently coordinate the EPCC MSc course on “Object-Oriented Programming for HPC”.
