Mr Iakovos Panourgias
I graduated from Sunderland University with a BSc Information Technology degree, back in 1999. Since then I worked for Siemens and Nokia Siemens Networks for 6.5 years. I started as a lone software engineer, before long I was leading a team of 10 software engineers and also did a short run as systems architect. I then moved to Edinburgh where I joined the MSc in High Performance Computing. After graduating from Edinburgh University I worked for KAL, an Edinburgh based software company which writes software for ATMs and the banking sector. I will be working for the APOS-eu project.
In my spare time I enjoy SCUBA diving, free-diving and underwater photography. When not underwater, I enjoy windsurfing. My non-water related activities include coding, book reading and watching TV/going to the cinema.
