Having joined EPCC in November 2020, I have a strong background in data visualization with my languages of choice being R and SQL. I am predominantly working on projects related to the Edinburgh International Data Facility.
I spent four years working at an international development charity funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As part of a small Monitoring and Evaluation team, my responsibilities included survey design, analysis and visualisation – as well as establishing automated quantitative reporting (via Tableau) to the foundation. This work involved travel to many of the countries the charity was active in – including India, Kenya and Tanzania.
Prior to EPCC I was based in the University’s Research Office for just over a year, as the Business Intelligence Officer. Responsibilities included generating Key Performance Indicators for Research, generating funder performance briefings and business process analysis.
In my spare time I love getting to the outdoors, especially to go hillwalking.
