We are delighted to announce the winner of the ARCHER Image Competition 2016 is Dr Peter Falkingham, Natural Sciences & Psychology Department, Liverpool John Moores University for his image "The birth of a footprint".
The image was selected by the judges for its easily accessible scientific concepts represented by a clear and visually dramatic image.

Proof that whilst EPCC may be one of the nerdiest enclaves in the University, we sure aren't all couch potatoes.
When local cycle campaign group Spokes released their latest edition of the Edinburgh Pedestrian and Cycling Route map, several of us agreed it would be an excellent idea to have a copy on the coffee room wall, to help plan trips around town and encourage new cyclists, or help current cyclists explore new areas.

ARCHER Impact Award 2015
ARCHER Impact Award will recognise and reward researchers working on ARCHER, as individuals or teams, whose work has had substantial impact on the economy and society. The awards will showcase the researchers, their work and the impact of the science that the UK National HPC facility, ARCHER, has enabled.
