Edinburgh Carpentries networking event

Edinburgh Carpentries (EdCarp) workshops give basic computational and data analysis training to local university staff and students to improve their research techniques and make them more productive. Join us for an informal Edinburgh Carpentries community meeting to find out how The Carpentries may improve your research and how you can contribute.

Event schedule

  • 16:00–16:10 Introduction and overview (The Carpentries and SSI)

  • 16:10–16:45 Lightning talks (experience reports, different perspectives)

  • 16:45–17:15 Ice-breaking brainstorming session

  • 17:15–17:45 Report back and discussion

  • 17:45–18:00 Concluding remarks

  • 18:00–19:00 Networking reception with pizza and drinks

This event offers an introduction to the Carpentries and also an opportunity for the local community to connect and discuss the way forward.
