EPCC at Quantum Week 2024

We are pleased to be part of the upcoming Quantum Week at Edinburgh and look forward to this exciting series of events.
Quantum Computing AIMday
First of all, on Monday 15th April Edinburgh will once again host a Quantum Computing AIMday run by the QCA Cluster (a joint initiative between the University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, and University of Strathclyde).
Industry representatives have been invited to submit questions in advance of the event, and then on the day these submitted questions will be discussed by experts across industry and academia. This year EPCC's James Richings and I will be in attendance.
Quantum Computing Theory in Practice
Quantum Computing Theory in Practice (QCTiP) 2024 will take place from 16th–18th April. I will chair the local organising committee, and my student Jakub Adamski will present a poster on his recently published work on the energy efficiency of statevector simulation. QCTiP has proven extremely popular this year, and is now completely sold out, with over 200 attendees coming from all over the world!
Quantum Software Lab
Finally, the Quantum Software Lab (QSL) will celebrate its first anniversary at an invite-only event on Friday 19th April. I am a founding member of the Quantum Software Lab, and I've been busy this year working to help industrial partners of the Lab understand if, how, and when quantum computing may help them.
