PhDs in high performance computing
EPCC offers the opportunity to study for a PhD in areas related to high performance computing, software sustainability and data intensive computing.
We have a number of EPSRC DTP (Doctoral Training Partnership) studentships available for entry in September 2017. For eligibility criteria, see our Scholarships & Funding page. The closing date for applying for these studentships has been extended to Monday 31st July 2017.
EPCC also offers studentships through the Centre for Doctoral Training in Pervasive Parallelism in collaboration with the School of Informatics: applications for 2017 are still open.
EPSRC Industrial CASE PhD Scholarship: Business model transformation via data-driven innovation and big data analytics.
See the list of possible PhD topics suggested by members of staff in EPCC. These topics are intended to give PhD applicants an idea of the scope of the work in the centre, and applicants can also suggest their own topic.
In either case, prospective students should contact the potential supervisor before submitting an application, and agree a short research proposal, which must be submitted with the application. Supervisors will advise prospective students on the further details of the application process.
