2026 EPCC Summer School in High Performance Computing: apply now!

This two-week residential programme in High Performance Computing (HPC) in Edinburgh will comprise hands-on practical training and the opportunity to apply new skills in a real-world context.

The EPCC HPC Summer School will run from Saturday 13 June 2026 to Saturday 27 June 2026, with classes taking place from Monday to Friday.

Applications close Monday, 16 March, 11:59 AM GMT.

EPCC's HPC Summer School is open to UK undergraduate students with at least one year of study remaining after summer 2026.  

The programme will run from 13th to 27th June. Accommodation will be provided, and travel costs to Edinburgh from within the UK will be covered. Participants will also receive a subsistence allowance.  

The 2026 EPCC Summer School in High Performance Computing (HPC) will teach the fundamentals of how to use HPC systems, including transferable skills in software development and performance programming. It will include access to ARCHER2, the UK National Supercomputing Service. 

We welcome applications from a wide range of students regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, abilities/disabilities, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.
