Industry survey: Research Software Quality in Commercial Practice
11 August 2026
The EVERSE project seeks to understand how commercial organisations approach software quality, particularly when collaborating with research institutions or developing research-adjacent software.
The EVERSE project's aim is to establish a European network of research software quality, and to build the foundations of a future Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence. It is currently working to create a framework for research software and code excellence, collaboratively designed and championed by the research communities.
EVERSE is running a short survey to gather the views of people working in industry who understand the research environment.
We're looking for respondents who can share their experiences of the software development process. Whether you work in a company that undertakes its own research, collaborate with academic partners, or build products to support research, we’d love to hear your views!
Your input will help us ensure that EVERSE recommendations include and reflect the needs of industry.
