Join the Software Sustainability Institute's Research Software Camps

The Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) runs free online Research Software Camps (RSCs) once a year over the course of two weeks. Each Camp focusses on introducing basic research software skills and good practices.
The next iteration of RSCs will run from Monday 10 to Friday 21 November 2025 and will centre around Careers and Skills in Research Software.
It promises an exciting programme, which will be delivered as a multi-session event tailored for early-career professionals, recent graduates, and anyone looking to transition into research software roles.
Through a combination of hands-on workshops and engaging panel discussions, attendees will gain a strong foundation in both the technical and professional competencies in research software. SSI also welcomes the community to dive into our carefully curated collection of online resources, which include engaging discussion forums, informative blog posts, and helpful guides. All of the sessions and resources will be made freely available.
