I currently work on two collaborative projects with external partners: helping the UK MetOffice update their simulation software for the next generation of supercomputers (NG-ARCH), with NCAS and NCAR on a knowledge exchange project focused on improving the energy efficiency of atmospheric modelling and simulation (CONTINENTS).

I am also the Community Engagement Officer for the UKRI's National Federated Compute Services NetworkPlus (NFCS-N+) project, and the course organizer for Fundamentals of HPC System Administration.
I earned my BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the University of Coimbra before moving to Edinburgh for my PhD, and later a postdoc position, in Computational Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, where I used molecular dynamics simulations to enhance the performance of lubricants in engines and powertrains.
I joined EPCC in 2023 where I started as part of the support team for ARCHER2 and Cirrus - answering user queries, delivering training courses, and working on continuous improvements tasks, and I worked on the Elliptical Parcel in Cell project, a novel approach to simulate general three-dimensional fluid flows and analogous continuum systems.
