Our expert support teams provide support for all systems at EPCC.
Support for systems hosted at EPCC is managed by three groups. This has historically included numerous UK National Services, a variety of Tier 1 and Tier 2 (national and local) services and numerous prototype and early-access systems, designed to investigate novel technologies.
HPC Systems Team
The HPC Systems Team—led by Paul Clark—manages the hosting, deployment, operation, and administration of systems at EPCC.
Service Desk Team
The Service Desk team—led by Josephine Beech-Brandt—handles user queries, the management of user allocations and the management of projects and users on the systems at EPCC.
The Applications Group (or Computational Support and Engineering team)—led by Lorna Smith—provides:
- in-depth technical support to users
- porting and enabling of applications, tools and libraries
- delivery of a wide-ranging training programme
